WWE World Champion CM Punk finally got to enjoy a championship run. After losing the title in a few minutes thanks to a Seth Rollins cash-in months back, the Voice of the Voiceless entered Monday Night RAW last night as champion. WWE gave Punk fans more to celebrate, revealing his rare feat that may never be duplicated.Since his return at Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk has been on the hunt for championship gold, or involved with RAW's top belt in some fashion. His original run with the company saw him capture the World Heavyweight Championship on three separate occasions, as well as the WWE Championship twice. With his win at SummerSlam, CM Punk actually achieved something that might never be met again. With his victory at Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE's official social media page congratulated Punk on being the only man to hold their original World Heavyweight Championship and the current World Championship. View this post on Instagram Instagram Post"@cmpunk is the only man to hold both versions of the World Heavyweight Title and both look so right!"Punk's first three World Heavyweight Championship runs came during the Ruthless Aggression and PG Eras. He won and cashed in the Money in the Bank twice, beating Edge and Jeff Hardy with the briefcase. He and Hardy would battle back and forth through the summer of 2009, with Punk getting his third reign off of Hardy again before the Charismatic Enigma left the promotion. What other WWE Superstars could pull this off? Few stars from Punk's original era are still wrestling at a high level at this point and time. Even fewer are actually wrestling in the company at the moment. For now, the only other competitors in the promotion who could meet CM Punk on this specific mountain are John Cena and Rey Mysterio. With Cena a little over a month from retirement, it's highly unlikely the 17-time World Champion holds another title again. Rey Mysterio returned to RAW last night, cleared and ready for action for the first time since April. At 50 years old, Rey probably won't capture the World Championship again before he hangs his boots up for good. He's also more interested in setting his business with Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion, his son, Dominik Mysterio. There is one other name that could theoretically pull off winning both versions of the promotion's World Championship: Jeff Hardy. With the WWE-TNA partnership going well, they could reignite one of Punk's greatest rivalries. Probably not, but they could. Congratulations to CM Punk for such an incredible accomplishment!
