Boston’s South Station Tower is opening for business.
The shining glass tower, a 51-story mixed-use building over one of Boston’s busiest transit hubs, includes 166 condos, office space, and expanded the South Station Bus Terminal.

The $1.5 billion project, which forever changes the city’s skyline, was discussed for decades before actually coming together under real estate development company Hines.
The luxury condominiums are branded under Ritz-Carlton and boast views of the city and the Boston Harbor. Several tenants have already been secured for the office space, including law firm Jones Day, a financial services company and an insurance company.
The building’s construction raised safety concerns on several occasions – in March 2024, a steel beam came crashing down from the structure, smashing windows on a lower level. No one was hurt, but construction was halted for an investigation.
