US President Donald Trump called London Mayor Sadiq Khan among the worst mayors in the world as he reignited his feud with the citys first Muslim mayor during his state visit to the United Kingdom. Trump attacked Khan for failing to curb crime and immigration in the UK capital and revealed that he had personally asked that Khan not be invited to the state banquet hosted in his honor.

I didnt want him there I asked for him not to be there I dont want that. Sadiq Khan the mayor of London wasnt welcomed and he did not attend. It was requested that he not attend Trump told reporters aboard the Air Force One on Thursday. The US President claimed that Sadiq Khan had expressed interest in attending the banquet but he didnt want him at the event.
Trump called Sadiq Khan among the worst mayors in the world claiming that he has done a terrible job in London. Crime in London is through the roof. Mayor Khan has done a terrible job and on immigration hes a disaster.
Donald Trumps comments about Sadiq Khan came shortly before he wrapped up his state visit to the UK on Thursday (local time). Trump and Khan share a long-standing rivalry dating back to Trumps first presidential term.
Why Trump and Melania switched to support helicopter?
Notably Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were forced to switch to a support helicopter due to a minor hydraulic issue while they were leaving London.
According to CNN the helicopter carrying Trump and Melania developed the issue and was forced to land at a local airfield following which they switched to a support helicopter causing a delay in their arrival at Stansted Airport in the United Kingdom.
Due to a minor hydraulic issue and out of an abundance of caution the pilots landed at a local airfield before reaching Stansted airport. The president and first lady safely boarded the support helicopter White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to the press pool travelling with the president.

Later Trump concluded his UK visit with a joint press conference alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer where the US President spoke about his personal ties with India and Minister Narendra Modi.
