The number of Nintendo Account owners in the world has reached a staggering number. The Big N now has 400 million accounts, which it will leverage to bring consumers entertainment and create “lasting relationships that span generations.” The number of Nintendo Accounts has risen to 400 million according to Nintendo’s (NTDOY) second quarter reporting for the fiscal year ending March 2026. Nintendo offered more insight into this figure, noting that the accounts serve as “a bridge connection Nintendo to our consumers.” Nintendo continues: Through the Nintendo Account program, we will develop the connections made through various opportunities people have to engage with our entertainment, into ones that allow us to directly deliver Nintendo’s unique experiences, creating lasting relationships that span generations. We view this entire structure as Nintendo’s unique ecosystem. By steadily enhancing the value of each component, we intend to maximize our business. The Q2 FY26 earnings report highlighted a couple of other large numbers too. Nintendo reported 128 million annual playing users and 34 million Switch Online members. There were also impressive sales figures, with the Switch 2 exceeding 10 million units and Donkey Kong Bananza selling 3.49 million units. The second quarter of Nintendo’s 2026 fiscal year was an impressive one. Nintendo has since altered its hardware forecast as it plans to sell more Switch 2 consoles and make more than it had originally thought. Read our NTDOY page for more information.
