New Delhi is set to host one of the largest gatherings in the global food industry as the third edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025 opens its doors on Wednesday evening. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 6 pm on Wednesday, the event will highlight India’s ambition to become a “Global Food Hub” — driving innovation, investment, and sustainable growth across the food value chain from farm to fork. Sectoral exhibitions will spotlight innovations in food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain, and allied industries. The event also promises rich culinary experiences and chef competitions, celebrating India’s diverse food heritage while showcasing global trends in healthy, sustainable, and futuristic foods. Parallel International Events Two prestigious events will run alongside WFI 2025: The 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit organised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).The 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS) hosted by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), which will focus on boosting India’s seafood export potential and strengthening global market linkages. Strategic Vision – Viksit Bharat 2047 WFI 2025 forms a key part of Viksit Bharat 2047, which envisions India as a developed, inclusive, and globally competitive nation.
