Work on the first phase of the International Parika Port is progressing smoothly and will be accelerated in the coming weeks, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI). The $4.5 billion port facility will facilitate international travel for cruise liners or cargo ships transporting produce to the Caribbean, DPI said. Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill, on Thursday led an inspection alongside the General Manager of the Transport and Harbours Department (T&HD) Yolanda Hughes, and engineers overseeing the project.
