Police in Worcester are searching for a 30-year-old woman last seen leaving her workplace Friday morning, officials said. City resident Joanna Brown hasn’t been seen since she left the Bean Counter Bakery Cafe on Grove Street around 9 a.m. Friday, Worcester police said in a statement. “She is 5’6” with hazel eyes,” police said. “She has not shown up to work or contacted friends or family, which is unlike her.” Police said on Sunday evening that Brown may be in the Holyoke or Springfield area. “If you have any information about her whereabouts, please call 911 or call 508-799-8606,” police said. On Monday, Worcester police told WHDH-TV that they had recovered a vehicle that matched the gray 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander she drives. Advertisement A Worcester police spokesperson didn’t immediately return a request for comment Tuesday morning. “Joanna is an employee and valuable member of our team at Bean Counter Bakery on Grove Street (and prior to that on Rt. 9 in Shrewsbury),” the business said in a statement posted Monday to Facebook. “She has been greeting our customers with her smile for 8 years!” the bakery said. “She has never just not shown up for her shift until Saturday November 1st. If you know Joanna’s whereabouts, please contact the Worcester Police immediately. We miss her terribly and praying for her safe return.” This story will be updated when more information is released.
