There’s nothing quite like escaping on a getaway to soak up some sunshine, but occasionally you don’t return home with the bronzed glow you were hoping for . Anya Jade Sadler recently documented her trip to Spain , and it’s safe to say Magaluf turned out rather differently than anticipated. She posted a video on TikTok featuring herself and a friend at the renowned party destination, revealing they’d embarked on their break hoping to catch some September rays. Unfortunately, it appears the weather gods had different ideas, as the conditions made it virtually impossible to work on their tans at the beloved resort. Magaluf has established itself as a legendary party paradise, equally famous for its glorious climate. Yet Anya appears to have been somewhat disappointed by what she encountered, and she’s certainly not the first visitor to be caught off guard by the destination. Overlaying footage of them boogieing in the downpour, Anya captioned it: “POV: You come to Maga for September sun.” Below, her friend playfully joked: “Knew I should have packed my wellie boots.” Judging by the footage, it looks like the only souvenirs they’ll be taking home are drenched garments, as their shorts and tops appear completely saturated whilst they wander through the deluge. Although they’ve got sunglasses perched on their heads, it’s obvious they’re redundant given the completely overcast sky. Despite the torrential rain throughout the clip, they appear to be making the most of their predicament. Fortunately, they managed to see the funny side, even though they’d been counting on topping up their tans during their time away. What you might not realise is that this week the municipality of CalviaÌ€ (Palmanova, Magaluf, Illetas and Paguera) was battered by a fierce storm bringing powerful winds and torrential rain. The extreme weather caused numerous incidents throughout the region. This week Palma bore the brunt of the gale-force winds, with the area witnessing trees torn from their roots and damage to both property and vehicles. Some flights also faced delays as a result. Nevertheless, it appears the weather is poised to turn for the better during the remainder of the week, with brighter conditions on the horizon. The Met Office forecasts highs of 29°C this week, with predominantly sunny skies expected. It’s worth noting that Magaluf typically enjoys hot and agreeable weather in September, with daytime temperatures commonly reaching peaks of around 26°C to 28°C. Additionally, the sea maintains warm temperatures of approximately 25°C, creating perfect conditions for seaside activities and outdoor pursuits. Holidaymakers should bear in mind that conditions can still be somewhat cooler, with an increased likelihood of occasional rain showers compared to the height of summer. Evening temperatures generally hover between 16°C and 20°C. TUI explains: “Summers in Magaluf are typically warm, making September a pleasant month to visit. During this time, visitors can expect mild temperatures, moderated rainfall and plenty of sunshine, creating perfect conditions for outdoor exploration. “The weather is typically conducive to enjoying the outdoor sights and local attractions of this picturesque Spanish locale. Rainfall in September tends to be occasional and scattered, not typically intense or persistent. “It should not notably disrupt outdoor plans, so travellers can feel confident in arranging their daily excursions.”
