FLORENCE — Eastern Carolina Community Foundation’s Giving Circle Fund, Women in Philanthropy, announced its 2025 grant recipients. The 2025 grant cycle saw an impressive pool of applicants, each demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families across the region. This year, the organization has awarded a total of $40,000 to 10 local nonprofit organizations. “Women in Philanthropy and its Grants Committee are thrilled to award grants of $4,000 each to 10 very worthwhile nonprofit organizations,” said Carrington Wingard, president of Women in Philanthropy. “This giving circle allows every member to make a meaningful contribution to organizations in the community in a benevolent way.” This year, recipients represent a diverse group of organizations, each addressing unique challenges and providing essential services within the community. Their programs focus on areas ranging from mental health advocacy and cancer support for children to empowering women, supporting aging populations and uplifting families in need. The 2025 Women in Philanthropy grantees are: Black River United Way Chesterfield County Council on Aging Child and Family Resource Foundation Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas Christ City of Refuge Make-A-Wish South Carolina National Alliance on Mental Illness South Carolina One Child At A Time Sisters 4 The Future and SpeciallyABLED Miracles, Inc. Women in Philanthropy remains dedicated to supporting projects that address critical needs such as health, education and economic empowerment for women and families. Grant awards are distributed on an annual basis, reviewed by the Women in Philanthropy Grants Committee and voted on by the membership.
