A woman has expressed outrage over what she described as unfair treatment meted out to her at the residence of the late former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, on October 24, 2025. According to the woman, she had benefited immensely from the late First Lady during her lifetime and had gone to the residence to mourn her passing. However, she claimed she was sacked from the house for making “too much noise” with her crying. Speaking in an interview with Ghana Eye, she recounted, “My mother is dead, and because of what the woman did for me, I came to cry for her and show my support. But someone told me to leave the house because I was making noise, so I’m going home. I wasn’t done crying.” The former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 76, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra. Reports indicate that she was unwell before her passing. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, played a significant role in Ghanaian politics and social advocacy.
