A woman who was allegedly stabbed at a property in Warrington has sadly died in hospital. Emergency services were called out to Manchester Road, in Woolston, shortly after 4pm on Monday afternoon (October 13). Cheshire Police said a 55-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed. She was rushed to Aintree Hospital in an air ambulance. Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE She fought for her life in hospital but sadly, on Saturday (October 18), she died as a result of her injuries, police said in an update. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Officers arrested and charged a 61-year-old man with attempted murder following the incident. Gavin Shaw, of Manchester Road, Warrington, was remanded into custody. Following the woman's death, the incident is now being treated as murder, Cheshire Police said.
