The crash happened on the R262 at Tullynaglaggin at around 3.50pm. Advertisement The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body has since been removed. A man, also in his 80s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The road remains closed and is expected to stay shut overnight and into tomorrow as gardaí carry out a technical examination. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area between 3.30pm and 4.00pm, to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071 985 8530, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
