Mark Mossman will continue as Western Illinois University’s provost after two years as the interim provost.
The university announced his permanent appointment earlier this week.
Mossman has been with the university since 2001 as a professor, associate provost for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies and department chair of the English Department.
“Mossman demonstrates deep commitment to WIU by ensuring the institution’s long-term sustainability while simultaneously building a strong, innovative foundation for the future” a WIU press release said.
