PAN-AMERICAN Life Insurance Group (PALIG) has appointed Winston S Williams as chief executive officer for the Caribbean region, effective November 1. Williams succeeds Youil Homsi, who has led PALIG’s Caribbean operations for the past year. The company said the leadership transition underscores its continued investment in the region and its commitment to providing protection and service to policyholders, producers, and communities across the Caribbean. “The company expresses its deep appreciation for his leadership and contributions to the continued growth of PALIG’s Caribbean business,” a release stated yesterday. PALIG said with more than four decades of experience in life and health insurance, Williams brings a proven record of business development, sales growth, and agency leadership across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. It said as agency manager of PALIG’s Port of Spain and San Fernando offices, he delivered 12 consecutive years of growth and built relationships with producers and customers. His prior leadership experience includes roles at Sagicor Life Inc, Colonial Life Insurance Company Ltd, and Caribbean Atlantic Life Insurance Company Ltd, PALIG stated. Chairman of the board and CEO of PALIG José S Suquet said Williams’ leadership, deep understanding of the Caribbean markets, and strong relationships with producers and clients made him the ideal choice to lead the organisation to it next stage of growth in the region. “His track record of performance and commitment to service excellence are fully aligned with PALIG’s mission to be there when our customers need us most,” Suquet said. Executive vice president—International Markets Dan Costello said Williams’ appointment marked the next stage in PALIG’s drive to expand its business in the Caribbean. “His extensive industry experience and proven results-driven approach will further strengthen our operations and support the long-term growth of our business across the region,” Costello said. Following regulatory approvals in Trinidad, Williams will also assume the role of CEO of Pan-American Life Insurance Company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd, while maintaining overall responsibility for PALIG’s Caribbean operations. “As we navigate an evolving insurance landscape, my focus is on culture, collaboration, and performance.
