“We are just not seeing as many of the one-day back and forth commuter trips,” said Lynes. “A lot of our travellers are just not willing to do that to themselves. A one-day trip from Toronto to Montreal can turn into a 14-hour day (even) if everything goes smoothly. And they want to stay and see some cultural events.”
