Kazakhstan has joined the Abraham Accords recognizing Israel. Meanwhile US President Donald Trump has said that the Abraham Accords will soon be expanded and Saudi Arabia may join. The Abraham Accords an agreement recognizing Israel were initiated by Donald Trump during his first term. In an interview with Fox News Trump said he hopes the Abraham Accords will soon be expanded and that he hopes Saudi Arabia will join the agreement which normalizes diplomatic relations between Israel and some Arab countries. In an interview broadcast on Fox Business Network on Friday Trump said I hope Saudi Arabia will join and I hope other countries will join. I think when Saudi Arabia joins everyone will join. Trump said that on Wednesday he had some very good conversations with countries that have expressed interest in joining the agreements. Let us tell you that Kazakhstan has recognized Israel by joining the Abraham Accord. Will Saudi Arabia and Pakistan be involved? If fighting between Hamas and Israel had not broken out in Gaza Saudi Arabia would have established diplomatic relations with Israel long ago. However Hamass attack and Israels subsequent counterattack changed things rapidly. Now that the Gaza war is over Donald Trump is once again pushing the Abraham Accords. But the most surprising situation is in Pakistan where venom is spewed in the name of Israel and India. The Abraham Accords began in 2020 during Donald Trumps first term when the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain took the historic step of recognizing Israel. Morocco and Sudan later joined the process. The Abraham Accords aim to restore normal diplomatic and economic relations between Arab countries and Israel which had been stalled for decades due to the Palestinian conflict. Trump believes that if Saudi Arabia reaches an agreement with Israel the entire Arab world will follow. Saudi Arabia the birthplace of Islam and the most influential country in the Arab world has long supported Palestine. Will Pakistan recognize Israel? Pakistani passports are marked Not Valid for Israel. But Pakistan will do anything for dollars such as considering sending 20000 troops to fight Hamas in Gaza. According to a report in Dawn in early June Pakistans Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar ruled out Pakistans joining the Abraham Accords saying that such a move would mean abandoning its long-standing support for a two-state solution to the Palestinian conflict and recognizing Israel. Ishaq Dar stated Unless a two-state solution to the Palestinian conflict is accepted we are not prepared to recognize Israel. There has been no change in our stated policy on the Palestinian issue. However Pakistani leaders often differ in their words and actions and there should be no doubt that if Saudi Arabia recognises Israel Pakistan will also fall in line. A deal with Israel would mean receiving US dollars.
