Why Rylee Arnold Won't Be on the Dancing With the Stars 2026 Live Tour

Dancing With the Stars pro Rylee Arnold made the difficult decision to skip the upcoming live tour.
“So sad I won’t be on the DWTS tour this year,” Arnold, 20, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, October 7. “Being on tour the last two years was seriously the most amazing experience ever. I’ve made the best memories and met the best people.”
She added, “This year, I had to make the hard decision to sit it out and focus on my health, especially with managing my Type 1 diabetes, which can be tricky on the road.”
Arnold was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 15 years old, nearly four years before she was cast as a DWTS pro.
“Those were the hardest three days of my life,” Arnold recalled to Women’s Health in 2024 of her initial diagnosis, which came after she nearly went into a diabetic coma after her blood sugar levels dropped during a youth dance competition. “The reality set in on how difficult managing this disease was going to be and how much it was going to change everything. Every 20 minutes, a new person would come in and tell me something new. It was so overwhelming. My biggest thought was, ‘Am I going to be able to dance again?’”
Arnold later got a Dexcom continuous glucose monitor to help track her sugar levels, which she does in between DWTS commitments. Arnold is currently partnered with Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying on DWTS season 34.
During Tuesday’s live broadcast of DWTS, cohost Julianne Hough announced that several of the pros and stars would be hitting the road for a new live tour.
“Listen up, we’ve got a big announcement. You can see all of these pros in person this winter, along with the stars of the show, in the all new Dancing With the Stars tour, directed by Mandy Moore,” Hough, 37, said on the show. “Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, October 10. Dancing With the Stars superfans, though, have presale access as early as tomorrow. … It just gets better and better — and with all the buzz of this season, I’m sure it’s [going] to sell out like, literally, now.”
The tour lineup includes pros Emma Slater, Val Chmerkovskiy, Britt Stewart, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Ezra Sosa and troupe member Hailey Bills.
“I’m gonna miss it SO much, but I’ll definitely be cheering everyone on and can’t wait to come watch,” Arnold concluded her Tuesday statement.
In the interim, Arnold is focused on training with Hoying, 34. The pair scored a 21 out of 30 for their Disney-themed salsa set to High School Musical’s “Bop to the Top.”

“I also felt so present out there and I felt like I was really enjoying myself,” Hoying exclusively told Us Weekly after the competition’s TikTok night last week. “I didn’t know if I was ever gonna get to that because I’ve been so nervous. I feel like we’ve turned a page. Rylee’s amazing and got her flowers, and her choreo ate.”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
