Jake Paul has finally canceled the upcoming Gervonta Davis event amid controversy over Tank's legal issues. The exhibition was always wrought with problems. One commissioner blasted the show as a "money grab" and so Most Valuable Promotions moved the event from Georgia to Florida. The event has also been cursed with questionable ticket sales. Last week, it was alleged Davis was again accused of domestic violence and it was seemingly that report that served as the final nail in the ill-fated Jake vs Tank exhibition. The show will not move on. Paul will instead move onto other plans, per a statement MVP sent GIVE ME SPORT. Why Most Valuable Promotions Canceled Jake Paul vs Tank Davis Exhibition MVP and Netflix will no longer host the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis exhibition, an MVP statement to GIVE ME SPORT confirmed on Monday. Nikisa Bidarian, the CEO of MVP and Paul's business partner, said: “Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly. While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025.” “Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized.” “We thank Netflix, the Kaseya Center, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for their partnership.”
