Chrishell Stause has announced she will not be returning to Selling Sunset following another intense season of the popular series. The 44-year-old star found herself at the heart of fierce disputes in the latest series , which was released on Netflix last month. However, just days after the new episodes aired, the actress disclosed that she is bidding farewell to the much-loved reality show. In an interview with Bustle published on November 7, she admitted: "I've vacillated back and forth with this decision in the past. "I have to be honest - having come from nothing, it's really hard to turn something like this down." Despite attempts by the producers to persuade her to return, Chrishell has remained firm in her decision, citing the negative effect the series is having on her mental health. "I've gotten to a place where I don't need the show financially," she added. "I'm lucky to have other forms of employment, because it's no longer good for my mental health." While the decision may surprise viewers, it appears Chrishell had already accepted her departure back in August, during the filming of the season nine reunion, reports the Mirror . Under the guidance of presenter Tan France, she voiced her issues with Nicole Young and Emma Hernan. Nicole had made a 'below the belt' remark about Chrishell's late parents during Amanza Smith's Girlsgiving dinner. Meanwhile, Chrishell had butted heads with Emma over her on-again-off-again boyfriend Blake Davis , who Chrishell alleges holds controversial views. Whilst filming the season's finale, Chrishell was already certain she wouldn't be returning. "I think, after so many hours, I felt like, 'Sit here, get through it. You're not a quitter, but you never have to do this again,'" she confessed to Bustle. "And I promise you, to your soul, you won't." She echoed these sentiments in an October interview with Variety, stating: "The reunion was so brutal. "In that moment, I realised I will be done here going forward. I wish everyone the best, but this isn't the place for me. It felt a little bit like a dog pile," she further explained. Netflix has yet to announce whether the show will be renewed for a tenth series. Selling Sunset is streaming on Netflix
