Earlier today, Amy revealed that she purged her Instagram page — except for one new photo of her in a red mini dress and black heels. The move came after weeks of attention surrounding her recent weight loss, which Amy has credited to using the semaglutide Mounjaro. Before long, people started to speculate about the reason she'd taken the photos down. Many believed that Amy deleted the pictures because she felt insecure about her past appearance. "This is so disheartening," one Reddit user wrote. "She really did not want any old posts up," another commented, as one more quipped, "When you find a way to change the weight but not the insecurity and self-hate." But Amy was quick to shut that down. "Hey media outlets I didn't delete my old photos because they were pre me losing weight," Amy said on Instagram. "That's a narrative you created. I'm proud of how I've looked always. I have been working to be pain free and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal." She also clarified that her health journey wasn't about losing weight but feeling better. "I am grateful to be strong and healthy especially for my son," she said. "But your Instagram is not your identity it's a curation of what you want the world to see and I feel great strong and beautiful and it's been fun sharing that." Amy added, "I'm sure my weight will always fluctuate. I'm a perimenopausal woman on hrt meds." She then closed out the post by sending her "strength and self love" to readers "on whatever path you're on as long as it's kind and respectful to all people.
