It’s been explained this week why BlueCo are over the moon after the latest Chelsea scouting mission took place. BlueCo are of course the owners of Chelsea and Strasbourg, and they seemingly want to add more clubs to their roster as well at some point but that has been a slow process. For now though, they have Chelsea as their main club and since added Strasbourg to the clubs they own. It’s come with some controversy, with many Strasbourg fans being against the ownership for a few reasons really. But on the field, they are really starting to have some success now. The owners have a way of working and a recruitment plan based around young players and developing them. Whether you agree with it or not, it is just the way they are going to recruit and build their squads. Either way, the two clubs will often do business with each other, something that Strasbourg fans have also been critical of. Well, there could be more business done very soon. Chelsea scouting in Strasbourg As per TBR journalist Graeme Bailey, Chelsea ‘sent officials to watch Strasbourg play Paris Saint-Germain on Friday’. Chelsea wanted to see how some of their loan players were getting on, while also identifying potential targets for the future. Joaquin Panichelli and Guela Doue have ‘impressed’ Chelsea scouts and are ‘playing themselves into the Blues’ thinking’. What Bailey said Bailey said: “BlueCo are over-the-moon with what is going on at Strasbourg, the football they are playing under Liam Rosenior and the players who are blossoming under his guidance. “Strasbourg have some outstanding players and someone like Panichelli, he was plucked from the Spanish second division but looks top quality. “Sources point out to me that this is the advantage of being able to blood these players in France, ahead of potential moves to England.”
