Residents in Bettendorf, Eldridge and smaller communities in Scott County will see new names at the ballot box in the November city and school elections.
In Bettendorf, a new face will represent the 2nd Ward as its current representative, Scott Naumann, is running for 4th Ward. Bettendorf’s 4th Ward council member, Greg Adamson, is not running for reelection, citing health issues.
In Eldridge, Scott Campbell, a city council member since 2023 and retired editor of the North Scott Press, is running unopposed for Eldridge mayor. Frank King, an Eldridge business owner and the mayor since 2022, and Daniel Collins, a council member elected in 2022, are not running for reelection.
The filing deadline for candidates to file for the Nov. 4 city/school election passed at 5 p.m. Thursday. Candidates running for city office — other than Davenport, which holds primaries — and school board are listed below.
Early voting starts Oct. 15 for the regular city/school election.
