The Challenge: Vets & New Threats has settled into a straightforward dynamic, with the majority of the house against the UK-affiliated group of three teams. But that didn’t stop some of the “new threats” from thinking through all of their options, especially as the game begins to winnow down. Regardless, it led to one team getting sent into the sand yet again, where they took out one of the most likable duos of the season. America Lopez Leroy Garrett Despite their very different Challenge careers, America Lopez and Leroy Garrett are both used to being underestimated. The smallest woman of the season, America got away from elimination the first time she was sent down against Nia Moore, but her never-give-up attitude has earned accolades from even the most decorated alums. One of those alums is Leroy, who despite being dominant in many facets of the game, has yet to win a season in his 16 tries. When the two were paired together, despite their underdog status, they had massive support both in each other and from the rest of the house. Unfortunately, they got edged out in the daily, sending them into elimination. And, despite going up against Theo Campbell and Adrienne Naylor in an equalizing puzzle challenge, the two were too spun around against the Brits, getting taken out. Who won the daily challenge in The Challenge: Vets & New Threats Season 41 tonight? Justin Hinsley Nany González This week’s daily challenge had some surprising results, to say the least. Tasked with stacking hay bales to reach keys, Justin Hinsley and Nany González edged out Theo and Adrienne to win, after the latter made a crucial error. But, on the other side of the field, some of the assumed frontrunners like Sydney Segal and Turbo Çamkıran and Aviv Melmed and Yeremi Hykel struggled. With Theo and Adrienne surviving another elimination, it looks like we’re set up with the same “us vs. them” dynamic in the future. But a couple of things happened in this week’s episode to buck the trend. Jake Cornish made a pitch to his friend Leo Dionicio to speak out against his partner Ashley Mitchell. Not to mention the rift between partners Olivia Kaiser and Will Gagnon is growing by the day. There’s a very realistic chance that the two split apart by “staking a claim” on another partner, especially as the final looms larger.
