“Dancing With the Stars” is ready for its viral moment.
The Tuesday, Sept. 30, episode of the reality competition series celebrated TikTok’s influence on culture. The celebrity contestants and their pro partners all danced to songs that have had a moment on the social media platform.
After all the duos had a chance to perform, Andy Richer and Emma Slater and Lauren Jauregui and Brandon Armstrong had the lowest scores of the night. Lauren and Brandon were ultimately eliminated.
The surprising result came after judge Derek Hough told Lauren earlier in the episode, “You’re gonna be here for a long time.” While she was at the bottom of the leaderboard this week, Lauren has consistently impressed the judges this season.
After the results were announced, cohost Julianne Hough asked Lauren how she was feeling.
“Pissed,” Lauren replied, before noting that she feels “so grateful” Brandon was her partner.
Several pros and contestants looked stunned as they hugged Brandon and Lauren, including Emma and Danielle Fishel.
On the other end of the leaderboard were Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa and Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas. Both duos received eights from all three judges.
After her Tango to “Anxiety” by Doechii, Jordan got emotional, noting that the dance helped her express her own struggles with anxiety.
“As an athlete, I don’t think a lot of people understand what we actually go through. So, being able to express it in a dance, I finally feel relieved, and I feel like that something I was able just to let go,” the Olympic gymnast said.
“Jordan, my dear, you turned anxiety into artistry,” Derek told her.
Later in the night, Derek was left “kind of speechless” by Whitney’s Samba, noting that her “performance quality is off the charts.”

Another standout moment of the evening came when Danielle’s former “Girl Meets World” costar Sabrina Carpenter wished her luck performing to her song “Manchild.”
“I’m so excited to see your dance. I can’t wait to try and recreate it and fail miserably. I’m just so proud of you, and I love you so much,” Sabrina said in a video message.
Danielle told cameras that Sabrina is “like a daughter” to her.
