After the UPSC results were announced in April 21 this year, Shakti Dubey arrived in the Sangam city of Prayagraj from Delhi on the Vande Bharat train where her family, relatives, and close friends gave her a grand welcome with bouquets and garlands. Shakti Dubey, who has a science background, chose Political Science and International Relations for the Civil Services optional papers. She said this was her choice and it helped her immensely. Her journey began in the classrooms of Allahabad, where she received her early education, and continued through Allahabad University, where she pursued a BSc degree. She advises candidates preparing for the Civil Services that seriousness and consistency are essential for success in any exam. Regarding the use of social media, she said it shouldn’t be completely stopped, but rather, a balance is essential. She advised using the internet and social media sparingly, but reading books is also essential. In a conversation with News 18, Shakti Dubey said that she got inspiration to become an IAS from her father and he has been her source of inspiration.
