Just like head coaches have assistants to keep their teams in order, similarly, celebrities need managers/ assistants too. Sometimes the entourage is filled with family members, but that’s not the case for Chris Bosh. The 2x Hall of Famer also needed someone to take care of his business and family needs. For close to 5 years, it was Olga Kirpicheva, a Russian native, who did the job to the T.
Who is Chris Bosh’s ex-assistant, Olga Kirpicheva?
Born on Oct. 23, 1990, in Russia, to Nina Rater and Igor Kirpicheva. Now she is 34 years old and is domiciled in the State of California. Her journey was not straightforward. Wanting to pursue a career in Tennis, she moved all the way to California as a top recruit for the Division 1 Fresno State Bulldogs program. There she applied her skills for three years before transitioning away from the sport. Having a background in public relations and event management helped in the transition.
After being an assistant to Chris Bosh, Kirpicheva transitioned from her tennis career to real estate in Beverly Hills, working with the Naomi L. Klein team. What also worked in her favor was her fluency in multiple languages. Olga is fluent in Russian, English, and Spanish, which made communication easier in the tough job as a realtor. From managing homes to selling homes, it’s a very interesting career trajectory.
Olga Kirpicheva’s family background?
Before knowing her work with Chris Bosh and his family, let’s understand Olga’s family first. As stated, the 34-year-old is a Russian native, and apart from her parents, Nina Rater and Igor Kirpicheva, she has a younger sister. While growing up and focusing on her tennis career, Olga’s favorite athlete was Roger Federer, “because of his strong mentality”, as per Fresno State bio.
Just like the elder sister, Olga, even Daria Kirpicheva is a former Russian tennis player. The 32-year-old reached a career-high doubles ranking of 753 on the WTA Tour in 2010. According to the International Tennis Federation (ITF), Daria also holds a career win-loss record of 6–9 in singles and a 33% win rate in doubles.
Olga Kirpicheva’s Career
She moved to the U.S. from Russia in 2009 to play tennis for Fresno State University. Prior to enrolling in the program, she already won the ITF Doubles Championships of Sanxenxo, Spain, and reached the singles finals. Then, in her freshman season, she defeated Arizona State’s Sianna Simmons, 6-3, 6-2, in her first collegiate tennis tournament, the Cal Nike Invitational on Oct. 2. Playing at the No. 3 spot meant chances were less in the 09-10 season. As a sophomore, her contributions increased and helped the Dogs’ advancement in the ITA team rankings to No. 59. Do not forget her record of 5-1 in doubles in the Bulldog Classic.
During the 2011–12 season, Olga Kirpicheva contributed to Fresno State reaching No. 43 in the ITA rankings. It was her junior year, and she played in 15 dual matches. Her grit was on display when she overcame injury to compete at the WAC Championships and contributed to the Bulldogs’ WAC Runner-up title. In her final year, Kirpicheva posted a 10–6 overall singles record and a 16–8 overall doubles record and thus received the nod to the Spring Academic All-Mountain West team.
Not much information is available on how she managed to work with Chris Bosh and his family. But in 2017, the Boshes hired Olga to act as their personal assistant and estate manager. Kirpicheva worked there until 2022 for both Chris and Adrienne Bosh. Her duties were not just limited to looking after the Boshes’ children, cleaning, booking travel, packing, and unpacking for the family. This also involved scheduling appointments, paying bills, assisting with home remodeling and repairs, handling correspondence, scheduling events, and planning parties.
Traveling with the family was also a task, as the family owned opulent multimillion-dollar places in Los Angeles, Miami, and Austin, Texas. Now, she is working with Naomi L. Klein’s team. Naomi has successfully closed approximately three hundred and fifty million dollars worth of residential, multi-unit, and investment properties. In real estate, optimism is important, and Olga embodies it. “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
