The woman dubbed “poundshop Lily Allen” has outed herself – after days of ridicule over a viral video. The Daily Star had the pleasure of watching a viral video of the moment protesters were left in shock after a singer made a slew of wild claims during her performance at Tommy Robinson’s rally at the weekend, all while hitting out at Keir Starmer. More than 110,000 people turned out to support far-right activist Tommy Robinson for his Unite the Kingdom rally in London on Saturday (September 13). The protest was headed by Tommy himself, together with professional loudmouth Katie Hopkins and controversial actor-turned-activist Laurence Fox. After the main rally, a number of entertainers were brought out to keep the crowd interested, as one singer appeared onstage to deliver a bizarre rap that called out the Prime Minister while heaping love on Russian President Vladimir Putin . Taking to the stage, the-then unnamed performer who sported a dress bearing the St George’s Cross, went on a musical rant about the state of the government’s immigration policy. She also went on to call out Keir Starmer directly, accusing him of heinous crimes no media outlet in their right mind would publish, while also calling for an end to the war in Gaza. And after our story on her being called the “poundshop Lily Allen” went around the world, the singer self-identified herself as Jodie MissusKent in response to it. She quoted our story and said: “The Daily Star clearly loves the Ukrainian boy penetrator,” which is in reference to an extremely libellous line in her song that we can’t reproduce. And for some reason, it now emerges that she has around 16k followers on social media – and a Spotify page. Her song from the rally currently has 35,148 plays on Spotify (one more now we’ve had the pleasure of listening to it again), while some of her other . . . wonderful songs include “Invasion” and “This is England”. The former includes the lyrics “welcome to your hotel, no you don’t have to pay” and “everything is paid for at the tax payers expense – we’ve taken down our flags so they don’t cause offence”. Lyrical genius. It’s also sung over an Afro-beat track, which feels a little bit ironic if you ask us. And in the guitar-heavy “This is England,” which starts with a really out-of-tune first line of “this is England” (I do have a music degree, so knowing when someone is off-key is commentary I can happily provide), she makes several anti-immigrant that again . . . we can’t publish. The lyrics also include the welcoming “This is England, we ain’t gonna back down to no-one” and “so pick up that flag and make them remember – they should know who they’re trying to f*** with”. Well, that’s my Spotify algorithm ruined. For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters .
