Huma Qureshi is making headlines both for her professional success and personal life. After her film Bayaan premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025, reports suggest that she is now engaged to her long-time rumoured partner, acting coach Rachit Singh. The news came from a source close to the couple who reportedly confirmed that the two have taken the next step in their relationship.
Who is Rachit Singh?
Rachit Singh was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He moved to New Delhi in 2012, where he briefly explored a career in ramp modelling. By 2016, he shifted to Mumbai to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry, according to his IMDb profile.

In the early stages of his career, Rachit worked with casting director and acting mentor Atul Mongia. He assisted Mongia in setting up Artist Collective, a training platform for actors. Over time, he not only trained several performers under the initiative but also participated in multiple film workshops. Rachit often describes Mongia as both a mentor and a close friend.
Rachit Singh has carved a niche for himself as an acting coach. Through his company, Rachit Singh Workshop, he has conducted more than 100 training sessions with several well-known names in the film industry. Among those who have attended his workshops are Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Gulshan Devaiah, Imaad Shah, Kunal Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Harshvardhan Rane, Amruta Subhash, Shahana Goswami, Ahana Kumra, Aneet Padda, and Shanaya Kapoor.

Apart from teaching, Rachit has also explored acting himself. In 2024, he appeared in the Jio Hotstar series Karmma Calling, portraying the character Vedang. The show starred Raveena Tandon, Varun Sood, Namrata Sheth, and Vikramjeet Virk.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, a source close to the couple revealed that Huma and Rachit are now engaged. The chatter around Huma Qureshi’s relationship with Rachit started making headlines when their mutual friend shared a candid photo with the two and wrote a cute caption with it. Singer Akasa Singh shared a photo with them and wrote, “Congratulations on your little piece of heaven with the best name, Huma. Had the best night,” a caption that instantly grabbed headlines.

Rachit was also by Huma’s side at the wedding of her close friend Sonakshi Sinha, who tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal in June last year. The ceremony, held at Sonakshi’s Bandra residence in Mumbai, saw the couple arriving together in coordinated pink ensembles.
