Darius Rucker has found love with Emily Deahl.
The Hootie & the Blowfish singer announced in October 2025 that he and Deahl were engaged.
“Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known,” Rucker shared via Instagram at the time. “The day I met you I knew I didn’t want to go another one without you. Now I don’t have to.”
It’s unclear how long the couple have been together but Rucker’s proposal took place one month after he made their relationship public.
“I never intended on keeping this part of my life from you guys for so long, but somewhere along the way of loving him I discovered how sacred love is to me,” Deahl shared via Instagram Stories after their engagement announcement, explaining why they’ve been keeping the romance under wraps. “And all I wanted to do was protect it. But damn I’m glad I don’t have to spend the time photoshopping him out of every photo now.”
Deahl hinted at her relationship with Rucker in a separate October 2025 Instagram post.
“When your man fully supports your love for someone else,” she wrote, sharing clips from a Lady Gaga concert.
Prior to his relationship with Deahl, the country singer was married to Beth Leonard from 2000 to 2020. The former couple share three kids, Carolyn (born in April 1995), Daniella (born in May 2001) and Jack (born in October 2004).

Deahl is a South Carolina native who has also spent time in the U.K., according to her social media. In April 2025, she referred to herself as “an American in London.”
However, Deahl’s website revealed that she has permanently relocated to Nashville.

Prior to her budding music career, Deahl had some marketing experience. According to her LinkedIn, she worked for Sunday Entertainment’s music library and production house for film and TV from 2015 to 2017.
“I helped build a distinct brand voice through strategic social media marketing whilst mentoring marketing interns to maintain brand image,” Deahl’s LinkedIn profile reads, noting that she “led a team of creative writers and graphic designers.”
Deahl also received a Certificate in Independent Artist Program from the Musicians Institute in 2012.
4. She Is a Content Creator
With over 29,000 Instagram followers, Deahl has taken on a job as a content creator. She also uploads vlogs on her YouTube channel — which hosts her music releases.
