From the twee coquette core to the over-the-top dopamine decor, 2025 has brought a lot of niche home decor trends — but are they here to stay? To find out, Parade spoke exclusively with a few interior decorators for their opinions on which of this year’s biggest home trends will have staying power beyond 2025. Read on for their thoughts on the longevity of five trendy decor styles, as well as their predictions for the biggest home decor trends for 2026. 1. Coquette Core LA-based interior designer Brittny Button of Button Atelier believes coquette core “has real staying power!” She also notes that the “continuous use of undulating lines feels evergreen to design.” Toronto-based designer Jude Kamal of Sansa Interiors agrees that the coquette style is evergreen, but notes that it is “likely to evolve rather than last as-is.” She adds: “Softer feminine details might stay, but in subtler, more refined applications these could be seen as minor accents throughout a space.” 2.Dopamine Decor Kamal believes dopamine decor “has staying power when it’s done with intention.” “Joyful, expressive spaces are timeless when they reflect the homeowner’s personality and not just a color trend,” she explains, adding that she often encourages clients to use bold colors in their homes, as long as it feels authentic to them. Button agrees that dopamine decor is best when done with more muted shades, as opposed to very bright and funky colors. “I see it [evolving to have] less pop and more layered depth,” she explains. “Otherwise, this constant ‘hit’ from the interior can be draining to live in.” 3. Café Core Kamal says café core is one of her favorite design styles, and thinks it’s “definitely here to stay.” She says: “The idea of turning the home into a cozy, social, and ritual-centered environment aligns with how people want to live now: slowly, intentionally, and with a chill café feel.” Interior designer Stacey Martin of The Freshmaker agrees that café core has legs beyond 2025. “We’ve been adding inspired breakfast nooks into many of our projects lately, and for good reason,” she tells Parade exclusively. “Starting your day sipping craft coffee at a marble bistro table will forever feel chic.” 4. Nancy Meyers Aesthetic Button believes the Nancy Meyers aesthetic is “classic beyond belief,” and describes it as a “timeless aesthetic that always wins.” “This will always endure,” adds Kamal. “Timeless neutrals, layered textures, and thoughtful lighting never go out of style.” 5. Grandmacore Both Kamal and Button agree that grandmacore will endure for a while — but only when done right, and with some modern twists. “We see it evolving into a more curated, modern nostalgia,” Kamal says of grandmacore. “This is one of my personal favorites because you can create a layered, collected home with story and soul, gathering really unique pieces that have meaning and act as a piece of art while still having relevance.” “My suggestion is to mix the styling of furniture items, so it’s not so heavy,” Button advises. “Add some lightness with modern touches by incorporating clay vases, sculpture, mirrors and art.” Calm and Wellness-Driven Design Could Dominate in 2026 Even though both Kamal and Button expect the aforementioned five trends to endure in 2026, they both have predictions for what will new trends will emerge next year. “We’re seeing a continued rise in wellness-driven design,” Kamal says. This means using natural materials and gentle lighting to create an overall calming space. Similarly, Button believes a major trend in 2026 will be “organic calm,” which she says involves creamy whites and mixed color woods.
