Clemson vs. Syracuse: Game matchup
The Tigers have the backing of oddsmakers even after having lost two of their first three games with early signs of trouble. Clemson is a 19.5-point favorite over the visiting Orange after falling to a pair of current top-20 teams in No. 3 LSU (17-10) and No. 18 Georgia Tech (24-21) sandwiched around a second-half comeback needed to beat Troy (27-16).

Even without departed quarterback Kyle McCord, who led the nation in passing a year ago, the Orange have the third-best passing attack in the country (379.0 ypg). That group found footing in an opening loss to Tennessee (45-26), went for 416 yards on 54 attempts in a Week 2 overtime win over UConn (27-20) and sunk outgunned FCS foe Colgate (66-24) with five touchdown passes from starter Steve Angeli.
