The Detroit Pistons will take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight in their first game in the group stage of the NBA Cup. Fans can catch the must-see action on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit at 7:30 p.m. ET, with streaming options available through Fubo and DirecTV. The Pistons and Nets are in a group with the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic. Each team will have four “Cup Nights” in which they will play every team in their group and then the eight teams with the best records will advance to the knockout round that will end with the championship game on Dec.16. All NBA Cup games will count toward regular-season records except the championship. Tonight’s game will be the first of the Pistons’ four group stage games. They come to Brooklyn with a 6-2 record after defeating the Utah Jazz 114-103 on Wednesday. Cade Cunningham continued his dominance this season, finishing with 31 points and 10 assists. Jalen Duren also had a massive night, contributing 22 points and 22 rebounds in the win. This will also be the first NBA Cup game for the Nets, who have struggled this season and will enter tonight’s game with a 1-7 record. They defeated the Indiana Pacers 112-103 on Wednesday to earn their first win of the season. Michael Porter Jr. led the team with 32 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
