The No. 23 Michigan State Spartans will officially open their season tonight at home against the Mercyhurst Lakers. Fans can watch the game exclusively on Big Ten Plus at 6:30 p.m. ET. Monthly plans are available for $12.99 and yearly plans available for $89.99. The streaming service broadcasts select Big Ten games across a variety of sports, including men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, volleyball, gymnastics and more. Streaming Options The Spartans are under the leadership of head coach Robyn Fralick. In just two seasons at the helm, Fralick has a 44-19 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances. The team finished with a 22-10 record last season, earning a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament where they advanced to the round of 32. Senior forward Grace VanSlooten was one of 50 players in the country named to the Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year Watch List. She averaged 15.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season. Tonight’s game will be the first ever meeting between these two teams. The Lakers will be led by first-year head coach Erin Mills-Reid as they look to improve on a 12-17 record from last season.
