Los Angeles FC looks to complete the sweep of Austin FC on Sunday night and move on to the Western Conference Semifinals in this year’s MLS Cup Playoffs. The first game of the series was a rather tight battle in Hollywood. While Los Angeles scored first thanks to an own goal in the first half on Wednesday night, Austin managed to level the score in the 63rd minute. However, a huge goal by Nathan Ordaz in the 79th minute was enough to give LAFC a 2-1 win, striking first in the best-of-three series. MLS STREAMING OPTIONS While LAFC might not have had the same level of success as they have had in the past, that does not mean it will stop the club from being tough to beat in the postseason. Los Angeles finished third in the Western Conference, just three points out of first place. There was a path to first for the team, but a loss to this same Austin team on Oct. 12, paired with a draw against the Colorado Rapids, kept it from becoming a reality. After missing the postseason two years in a row, Austin is hoping to turn heads this time around. Despite struggling down the stretch in the regular season, losing three of the team’s final four contests, Austin has the chance to pull off an upset in the first round.
