The world famous Red Arrows are set to perform a flypast over part of London as they make their way to an airshow on Guernsey tomorrow. Nine elite pilots flying their Hawk T1 jets are set to swoop over the Woolwich Barracks on Wednesday (September 10) in what is sure to be an impressive display of precision flying. But those outside the capital will also have a chance to spot the incredible team as they depart from just outside of Lincoln, flying down through the East Midlands before they pass over London for the flypast. The Red Arrows have been performing since 1965 and fly in a distinctive Diamond Nine shape that is easy to spot if they fly over your area. The team have put on displays and featured in shows across the world . The arrows will begin their flight taking off from their Lincolnshire home base at RAF Waddington at 9.36am tomorrow. They will then make their way south, flying over Peterborough and Harlow before their London flypast. They will then continue south over Sussex before finishing up at the Guernsey Air Display 2025 with a spectacular performance scheduled to take place at 6.36pm. For anyone wanting to see them in the capital, the arrows will be visible over Valentines Park, Ilford, at 9.59am, and Woolwich Barracks at 10am, according to a flight plan published online. The plans, known as a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) are published to alert other pilots to potential hazards along a flight route or at a location. The notices consist of coordinates, place names and times which give an idea of the route that the Red Arrows might take. However these flight notices are not set in stone and both the route and the timings can change or even be cancelled at short notice due to things like weather or operational constraints. The arrows will be finishing off their 2025 Flying Season with a farewell display on October 4 at the former RAF site in Duxford, which will celebrate the highs of all the squad’s flying events from the year.
