When Scottie Scheffler walked straight through Cam Smith’s line

Scottie Scheffler walked straight through Cameron Smith’s line back in 2022 when the duo were participating in the PGA Tour’s FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. The rift between the two golfers since the PIF-backed league came into existence is no secret.Incidentally, Scheffler and Smith were playing at the same tournament in 2022 just before the latter switched to LIV Golf, leaving the PGA Tour. A clip from the tournament resurfaced on social media, where Scheffler crossed right in front of Smith while the latter was going to take his shot. This incident occurred when Smith was reportedly in talks with the breakaway league for a defection. Here's the video:Smith completed four years with the LIV Golf league in 2025. He has a total of four wins in the league, including his first triumph at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Chicago after scoring 13 under. When did Scottie Scheffler last play on the PGA Tour? Scottie Scheffler’s last PGA Tour event was the Procore Championship, where the World No. 1 finished in first place with a 19-under score in total. After the win, Scheffler addressed a press conference at the Silverado Resort and shared his playing experience. He said ( via ASAP Sports):“Feeling good. Overall it was a good prep week getting ready for the Ryder Cup. As far as the tournament went, I did some good stuff over the course of four days, especially over the weekend. Felt like my game got better as the week went on and played some really nice golf Saturday and Sunday to be sitting here. my plan was to try and make some birdies but the golf course, the golf course gets really challenging late in the day. The wind picks up, started swirling a little bit, and the greens get pretty challenging. There's a lot of slope and the afternoon poa is always tough.”“But overall I think I did a good job, made one bogey today and then bounced back real quick with birdies on 12 and 15. Felt like I really needed to birdie 18, but fortunately par was enough. I barely know what I'm going to do tomorrow let alone a year from now. It's always nice to have an opportunity to come and defend your championships, but we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there… Backing out from a tournament is not a good feeling when you've already committed,” Scheffler added. At the Procore Championship, Scottie Scheffler scored 19 under in total. He fired 70 in the opening round with two birdies on the front nine and two birdies on the back nine. He followed it up with a 68 in the second round, with one birdie on the front nine and five birdies on the back nine. The third and fourth rounds saw him score 64 and 67, with ten and six birdies, respectively.
