Nitanshi Goel rose to fame after her performance in the debut film, Laapataa Ladies in 2023, co-starring Sparsh Srivastava, Pratibha Ranta and Ravi Kishan. Helmed by Kiran Rao and backed by Aamir Khan Productions, the film was a hit and was even shortlisted for India’s official entry to the Oscars 2025, but missed out on making it to the final list.
But did you know that following the success of Laapataa Ladies, the 18-year-old actress’ fame reached a height that she had to have 6 to 7 bouncers for her safety?
Nitanshi Goel Arrives With 7 Bouncers
During a conversation with Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, senior journalist Pooja Samant opens up about her journey in Bollywood and recalls an incident where she saw Nitanshi coming up with such tight security.
She said, “There was a healthcare product launch in Mumbai and I was invited there. Then, Nitanshi Goel came there. I had earlier interviewed her on the telephone for Laapataa Ladies and I found her very down to earth, but the atmosphere was different that day. Nitanshi looks like such a small girl and the 7-8 bouncers are all 6 feet tall. It was very tough even to reach her. The security will remove you instantly.”
More About Nitanshi Goel
The actress made her Cannes debut this year. She walked the prestigious red carpet in a custom-made black and gold gown by Jade by Monica and Karishma (MK) and attended the screening of the film Dossier 137.
Speaking about her Cannes 2025 debut, she said, “I came into this profession to make things happen for myself. From the extraordinary journey of ‘Laapataa Ladies’ to now standing on the global stage at Cannes, I’m getting closer to realising my goals. I am that girl who represents every Indian girl out there who has enormous aspirations and is determined to fulfil them, no matter what.”
She added, “Being able to represent those girls on a global level is a source of immense joy. By appearing on the carpet, I hope to inspire every female out there who is taking ownership of her life, aspirations, and profession. It’s an absolute honour.”
Nitanshi Goel’s Work Front
She started her acting journey with television and appeared in several shows, including Ishqbaaz, Naagarjuna- Ek Yoddha, Peshwa Bajirao and the web series Inside Edge.
After Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi was last seen in a brief role in Ajay Devgn’s sports biopic, Maidaan. She is yet to announce her next project.
