‘What’s Wrong With These Cars?’: Gautam Singhania Reacts After Lamborghini Crash In Mumbai

Gautam Singhania, Managing Director of the Raymond Group, has shared a shocking video that captures the moment a Lamborghini met with a crash on Mumbai’s Coastal Road. Singhania, a collector of luxury cars, has often raised issues about the performance of Lamborghini cars.
The clip shows the luxury sports car spinning out of control before smashing into a divider. The horrifying crash left its front completely mangled.
The incident took place on Sunday morning, September 21, at around 9:15 AM on the southbound stretch of the Coastal Road. He uploaded the video on Instagram with a sharp caption that read, “Another day, another Lamborghini mishap. This time on Mumbai’s Coastal Road at 9:15AM this morning. Do these cars even have traction control? From catching fire to losing grip, what’s going on with Lamborghini?”

The video opens with an orange-hued Lamborghini cruising on the road before suddenly skidding and losing control. In a matter of moments, the Lamborghini veered off course and struck the divider with force. A cloud of dust fills the air after the crash.
The entire front portion of the car was destroyed. The bumper and hood were badly damaged with parts torn apart and the car’s internal components exposed.
Singhania also added an overlay text, asking, “Their cars not only catch fire, they don’t have grip as well. What’s wrong with these cars?”

Incident Due To Wet Surface
According to officials quoted by PTI, the accident likely occurred because the road surface was wet from rainfall. Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the crash. There were no reports of injuries in the incident.
Authorities identified the driver as 52-year-old Atish Shah. He was driving from Nepean Sea Road to Colaba when he lost control of the Lamborghini. Police said the vehicle was later towed away and a case has been filed against Shah under sections related to rash driving.
Past Concerns Raised By Gautam Singhania
This is not the first time that Singhania has raised questions about Lamborghini’s reliability and safety. He has openly shared his concerns on social media before where he has highlighted repeated issues with the brand’s vehicles in India.
Last year, he posted a video of a Lamborghini that caught fire, also on the Coastal Road. That clip showed flames engulfing the car.

Spotted by me: A Lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. In another instance, he recounted his test drive of a Lamborghini Revuelto in Mumbai. He was left stranded on the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link after the car broke down midway due to some technical issue.

Here is evidence of the brand new Revuelto having to be towed away due to total electrical failure. At the time, he expressed his disbelief that a high-end luxury car could face such problems.
