Dua Lipa may be a late entry into the beauty brand world, but boy, does her entry make sense. The eternally glowing pop star has decided to foray into skincare as part of a collaboration with brand Augustinus Bader, a longstanding favourite of Lipa’s. Announcing the line on Tuesday, Lipa wrote on Instagram: “The secret is out!!! Such a dream to launch my very own skincare line in collaboration with the best of the best, I'm so in LOVE with these formulations and the amazing TFC5 technology that makes them so special, let the new journey begin!” The skincare line, entitled DUAbyAB, includes three products. The Renewal Cream (£60, duabyab.com), which bills itself as a smoothing, strengthening daily moisturiser; the Supercharged Glow Complex (£65, duabyab.com), which promises to brighten skin and improve elasticity; and the Balancing Cream Cleanser (£32, duabyab.com), which aims to clean skin of buildup without “stripping” it, leaving it hydrated and healthy. The special secret to Dua Lipa’s collaboration with Augustinus Bader lies within the TFC5 [Trigger Factor Complex] technology. Created by Lipa and Professor Bader himself, the technology is a new, patented version of Augustinus Bader’s trademark hero-ingredient TFC8, unique to Lipa’s products. While all of Augustinus Bader’s TFC creations include a blend of reparative and renewing amino acids, vitamins and peptides, Lipa’s TFC5 focuses specifically on preventative, everyday skin maintenance — perfect for people on the go (which, as we know all too well, Lipa always is). Lipa, 30, has been a consistent champion of Augustinus Bader’s products, shouting them out in Vogue’s “What’s In My Bag” series, as well as her “Last Looks” episode, where she prepared for the 2025 Met Gala. As part of the collection’s release, the international pop icon revealed that Augustinus Bader was the “only brand” she trusted to bring her skincare line to life. And just in case that sounds like product placement to you, she’s also offered the ultimate legitimate sign of approval: Augustinus Bader products have been consistently spotted in the background of her Instagram pictures, proving that her love for the brand is truly authentic. The Augustinus Bader products Lipa has previously spotlighted include The Rich Cream (£240, augustinusbader.com), The Rich Eye Cream (£128, augustinusbader.com), and The Sunscreen (£105, augustinusbader.com) — as to be expected for a woman who spends so much time on various beaches across the world. Lipa is also a verified skincare enthusiast — although she wasn’t always. After years of being a “fall asleep with [her] makeup on” type of girl, consistent travel and touring forced Lipa to take better care of her skin. “In 2016, I started touring quite heavily and I needed a skincare routine that wasn’t high maintenance,” she said in a recent Vogue interview while discussing the launch of her skincare line. Now, she’s a changed woman. “Skincare, for me, is really important,” she told Vogue in May. “Especially because I travel so much. I feel like taking care of my skin is kinda crucial to my everyday.” And thus, Dua by AB was born.
