The "Love Is Blind" Season 9 reunion special was filled with bombshell moments, including "Sparkle" Megan Walerius revealing that she had welcomed a child since the show filmed. "I have a little boy and he is my whole world," Megan said. Her son, Brooks, was born about three months ago. Megan's child's father, identified only as Paul, was seated in the live audience. "I know now more than ever that I was meant on this Earth to be a mom. He's amazing. Our family is very happy," Megan continued. Megan revealed she and Paul had met in July, three months after filming wrapped in April. She became pregnant three months later. "We definitely had our ups and downs. I'm not going to say it was perfect. But Paul's been amazing and we're very happy," Megan said. The reunion, which hit Netflix on Oct. 29, featured appearances from several Season 9 cast members, including Megan and her former fiancé, Jordan Keltner. A trailer for the reunion had teased a "bit of a surprise" from Megan and it certainly delivered when the reality star dropped the big news. In recent weeks, "Love Is Blind" viewers had wondered if Megan had welcomed a child after photos of her with a mystery man and a baby circulated online. Megan’s news came as a bit of a surprise for many viewers since Season 9 ended with her saying she wasn’t sure if she was “cut out to be a stepmom.” Jordan is a single dad to son Luca. “Honestly, this has me questioning if I’m even cut out to be a mom. Maybe I am too caught up in my own life,” she said in a confessional interview after breaking up with Jordan. Jordan said Megan's news didn't come as a surprise to him — they had discussed the the matter before the reunion. "I appreciate the transparency and the honesty. You're going to be great parents. I have no doubt about that," he said during the reunion. Megan said becoming a mom taught her “selflessness” and gave her more empathy for her ex-fiancé. “I applaud Jordan for doing this experiment and putting his heart out there,” she said. The rest of the cast was surprised by Megan's news, too. She said she took pains to keep the baby a secret, adding that "no phones were allowed" at her baby shower. "I wanted my pregnancy and the start of Brooks' life for us to have in private," she said. Megan and Jordan’s ‘Love Is Blind’ Journey Megan and Jordan got engaged after getting to know each other in the dating pods then moved in together. When Jordan revealed that he has a 5-year-old son named Luca, Megan was initially unsure if she was ready to be a parent in a matter of weeks, but she later embraced the idea. After meeting Luca, Megan seemed eager to take on the role of stepmother. Still, she was nervous that she didn’t have the chance to live with Luca during the experiment since he wasn’t going to appear on camera. Shortly before their wedding, Megan sat Jordan down for a serious conversation about the state of their relationship. She expressed concern that they live two vastly different lifestyles since he needed to be structured for Luca and she had the freedom to travel and live a more flexible lifestyle. After calling things off with Jordan, Megan opened up in a confessional interview, saying, “In the pods, I was really leaning into him being a single father, like the excitement of it, but I don’t think I thought through how challenging it is and how I would need to make a lot of concessions to how I currently live.” Jordan said he regretted introducing Luca to Megan and said their financial differences ultimately put a strain on their relationship. “I think if I had enough money that I didn’t really have to work I think we would be getting married,” he said.
