What King Charles 'told' David Beckham at knighthood ceremony amid Victoria tribute surprise

A lip-reading expert has revealed the supposed contents of King Charles ' intimate conversation with David Beckham during his knighthood ceremony. And their chat included a special nod to David's wife, Victoria , after she played a special role in her husband's big day. Beckham, 50, was finally made a knight of the realm on Tuesday after more than a decade of futile attempts to secure the honour. The England and Manchester United legend has finally been recognised for his services to football, as well as his charitable endeavours off the field. And after getting down on one knee to receive his new title, Beckham shared a close exchange with King Charles. The pair have met on numerous occasions over the years, but this conversation took a different turn as Becks was asked what's next. Lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling explained the King told David he was "proud" of him, per Betfair Slots. In return, David revealed what he planned to do with his career after clearing such a monumental hurdle. Hickling put her expertise to use and explained King Charles said: "I am so proud of all you have done with your sports and charities. Amazing, you are unbelievable. I'm proud to knight you." David replied by saying it had been a "great day," to which the King encouraged him to "do what you're good at." Beckham then responded by adding: "It's been my greatest honour, if I'm honest. Next step, I'm going to write a book. But being here has been incredible today." The King is said to have told David that he "can write a book" but that he would have to "try not to forget those names." And Beckham replied that he was sure people would be "so happy to be mentioned in it." Becks has written four autobiographies to date, though the most recent among the quartet was released back in 2013. He and his family have since produced their own Netflix docuseries, Beckham, while wife Victoria has also featured in her own show on the streaming giant. The fashion designer may have been a witness to Beckham's shining moment, but she also played a key role in the day as a whole. That's after David revealed the former Spice Girl put her design nous to good use by putting together his suit, with inspiration from King Charles himself. "He was quite impressed with my suit," Beckham told the Press Association. "He's kind of the most elegantly dressed man I know, so he's inspired quite a few of my looks over the years - and he definitely inspired this one. "It was something my wife made me. I looked at old pictures of him when he was younger, wearing morning suits, and thought, that's exactly what I want. So I showed them to Victoria, and she created it." The fashion feature represented a heart-warming cameo in which Victoria also had a hand in the proceedings at Windsor Castle. And after 26 years of marriage, it's evident the union between one of the most iconic power couples in the world remains as tight as ever.
