The 84-year-old Golden Globe winner is currently receiving care at a hospital in Palm Springs after battling a serious, life-threatening infection, as per TMZ. Kirkland, who earned an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe win for her powerful performance in the 1987 film Anna, has continued working well into her 80s.
