WestCare Pacific Islands offers temporary assistance for federal employees in need

WestCare Pacific Islands is offering support to federal workers and households experiencing financial hardship due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. The organization said it recognizes the challenges that many families are facing during this uncertain time and wants to ensure that resources and assistance are available to help ease the burden. For a limited time, WPI is offering the following forms of assistance: • Food pantry support: Access to essential food and household items. • Temporary financial assistance: Support with utilities, rent, or mortgage payments for up to one month, based on eligibility and available funding. • Program services: Eligibility-based access to ongoing support through WPI’s housing, behavioral health, and family-strengthening programs. Applicants will be asked to provide supporting documentation to verify eligibility and determine the appropriate type of assistance. WPI encourages federal workers and families in need to reach out for support and invites community organizations to share this information with their networks. For more information or referrals, contact WestCare Pacific Islands at (671) 472-0218 or (671) 989-1962, email pacificislands@westcare.com, or visit their website at www.westcarepacificislands.org.
