Fantasy Football managers are heading into the second half of their season, which means Week 1 choices have run out of gas in some cases. As such, the waiver wire has become more important than ever. As some players begin to shut down their openness to trading, the waiver wire is slowly becoming the best option to add new talent. Here's a look at the top fantasy football waiver wire additions heading into Week 9. For some managers, the priority order will look a bit different based on your team's needs, but there's something for everyone. Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Priority Adds for Week 9 Top Fantasy Football Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups Waiver Wire RB adds for Week 9 1) Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs Kareem Hunt started to lead fantasy football managers to believe that he was fading. However, scoring multiple touchdowns against the Washington Commanders has stated otherwise. Now, it's clear that Hunt will be part of the team's red zone and goal-line offense all season long. As such, he is a perfect bench player to insert for a week or two if needed. 2) Michael Carter, Arizona Cardinals Michael Carter appears to be back with the Arizona Cardinals. With James Conner and Trey Benson out of the lineup, Carter could end up seeing significant carries in Week 9. Benson could return as soon as Week 10, per CBS Sports. Once that happens, Carter's value will plummet, but he could work as a one-week option. 3) Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins Ollie Gordon II received a season-high ten carries and a reception in his most recent outing. Gordon's usage could be on the incline, but with De'Von Achane holding onto the starting role with two hands, there is likely a ceiling to what he can do. Still, his addition makes sense as a bench player to play in competitive matchups down the stretch. Waiver Wire WR adds for Week 9 1) Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots Drake Maye has a new favorite target, and it isn't Hunter Henry. Kayshon Boutte has delivered at a WR2 level for weeks. If he's still available in your league, it's time to snatch him up for your fantasy football team. Boutte has earned at least one touchdown and 55 yards in each of his three most recent outings. Get him before he's gone. 2) Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders Tre Tucker has been up and down this season. With Jakobi Meyers' status in doubt, Tucker has no choice but to see added targets every week. Brock Bowers' injury also points the funnel at Tucker. Rumors are swirling of a potential Meyers trade, so Tucker could end up as the team's top wide receiver in the coming weeks, which could mean big things for fantasy football managers. 3) Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks Cooper Kupp's homecoming has been slow going for much of the year, but the veteran receiver has seen an uptick in production in recent weeks. He won't save your season, but he could help some. If anything happens to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kupp's value will go through the roof. As one of the most productive receivers in the league, the hits could stack up. Waiver Wire TE adds for Week 9 1) Noah Fant, Cincinnati Bengals Noah Fant has benefited quite a bit from Joe Flacco's addition to the Cincinnati Bengals. Fant has been reliable for Flacco, catching 100% of his targets, which may only lead to more action in the future, which is good news for the fantasy football manager who plucks him. Fant has scored a touchdown in his past two games, so the seed has been planted. 2) Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints A young quarterback's best friend is his tight end, and with the New Orleans Saints in possession of two such quarterbacks, Juwan Johnson's value has a notable floor. Johnson has been consistent, catching five passes in each of the last two games. If you need a tight end and don't want to chase upside, Johnson is about as good as it gets for fantasy football managers when it comes to the open market.
