The Bath Regional Hospital was yesterday experiencing reduced water pressure due to a break in the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) transmission main in the Bath area. A statement from the Ministry of Health said that the hospital had been utilising its on-site reservoir to maintain operations; however, this supply was depleted early yesterday morning. The Guyana Fire Service was assisting by refilling the hospital’s storage tanks to support the continuation of essential services. GWI’s technical team was on site and working to restore normal water service. The hospital remains fully operational, the statement said.
