It’s been a bit of a delay, but South Park is finally back with Episode 5 from the new season airing live only on Comedy Central tonight. The latest chapter from Season 27 airs on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m., but you can watch it streaming for free three hours earlier on Philo.

What is South Park Season 27, Episode 5 about?
Tonight’s Episode 5 was reportedly delayed due to production setbacks and changes to the storyline. This latest chapter will reportedly focus on financial apps that traffic in predictions markets, including companies like Polymarket. These apps allow customers to place bets on future events like election outcomes and even military events such as wars and bomb strikes carried out by one country on another.
Episode 5 will also be the first episode following the murder of political media influencer Charlie Kirk. In Episode 2 from this season, the Cartman character was used to parody the right-wing media pundit. That episode has since been removed from airing on Paramount platforms due to its sensitive nature. This week’s new episode reportedly will not touch on the Kirk assassination, but images shared from Comedy Central already show Donald Trump will again be a main character.
So far this season, the South Park writers have taken aim at Donald Trump and modern conservative culture, but have also taken time to weigh in on other American obsessions and shopping trends like the country’s obsession with Labubu dolls and more.
