With time winding down in the second quarter, Matt Rhule and Nebraska appeared content to go into halftime trailing Michigan 17-10 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Turns out, the Huskers were anything but content.
Rhule called timeout with one second left, leaving many Michigan players confused as they began heading toward the locker room. Instead, Nebraska had time for one last play — one that will be remembered for years.
From the NU 48, Dylan Raiola rolled hard to his right and launched a high pass downfield. Jacory Barney outjumped a cluster of four Michigan defenders to haul in one of Nebraska’s most improbable touchdowns in recent memory.
As Barney came down with the ball, the crowd erupted, and Nebraska entered halftime tied 17-17 — carrying momentum into the break.
