In a video footage caught live by See Jamaica, the JCF van was seen travelling on the Flat Bridge at 12:57 pm, after which the man seemingly fell from the back of the vehicle into the river, holding onto what appeared to be a tyre. The tyre was later seen floating in the river, however the man was nowhere to be seen. Shortly after 1pm, a lone policeman on foot appeared on screen. Two cops were later seen on the bridge on foot seemingly searching for the man who fell into the river. Up to three marked police vehicles later arrived on the scene over the course of two hours. Firefighters also visited the scene, based on videos shared by passersby, and retrieved the tyre. However, the fate of the man who seemingly fell into the river is still unclear. Observer Online has been unable to reach head of the St Catherine North Police Division Hopeton Nicholson to ascertain details surrounding the incident.
