WATCH: 'Pure brilliance' - Ex-Arsenal and Ascoli midfielder fires two free-kick goals in three minutes for Irish League win

Randall, a former product of Arsenal’s youth system who made his Gunners debut under legendary boss Arsene Wenger, curled home set-piece success on two occasions beyond Ports goalkeeper Alex Moore across the Sports Direct Premiership win. Now 36 years old, Randall counts time in Italy with Ascoli on his career CV alongside spells at clubs including Burnley and Chesterfield before joining Larne in 2019. Randall’s two curling free-kicks arrived inside the space of just three minutes and left Larne boss Gary Haveron declaring “pure brilliance”. "We had to be patient, we created a lot of chances in the first half...I think their goalkeeper made two or three really, really good saves and we were a little bit wasteful,” said Haveron on the official Larne club social media platforms. "But Mark Randall comes up with just pure brilliance with the two free-kicks...absolutely remarkable from Mark and just the quality of the lad never ceases to amaze me. "If anybody's capable of doing it, it's probably Mark. "If Conor (McKendry) had his way in that he would have taken the second one, I think he was looking to move Mark aside...but there was only one person hitting that second one and then Mark did what he does.” Tiarnan O’Connor was the other Larne scorer in the Inver Park win. “Really pleased, really pleased...it's the third game in seven days, which is a big ask for the boys and I think they responded really, really well,” said Haveron. “I was really pleased for him (O’Connor) to get his goal, not just the goal but his work-rate was first-class there tonight...again, he's really sort of caught that side of the game really, really well. "He's a talent...his striking off both feet, his composure to finish goals and take chances, his size, his athleticism. "I think he's added a little bit of aggression to his game in the last couple of weeks and it's really sort of taken him on to another level. "He looks full of running and when he's in that kind of form, he's a sensational striker."
