Michael Jordan has been very outspoken over the past few weeks, as NBC has exclusive interviews with the former Chicago Bulls star. More news: Warriors’ Next Move Predicted Amid Al Horford Concerns Jordan, one of the greatest players in NBA history, has some thoughts about the current NBA, and for many fans around the league, they were ones they’d agree with. One in particular makes a lot more sense than some others, as Jordan isn’t too happy about the load management that’s seen around the league. Head coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors reacts during the second quarter of the game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena on October 21, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. When speaking about the comments Jordan made, his former teammate and current Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, had some thoughts about it. He made it clear that he understands where Jordan is coming from, but that the game is a lot different nowadays than it was many years ago. “For us (Warriors), four of our top guys are 35-39,” Kerr told The Athletic’s Nick Friedell. “We now have performance teams. When I played with the Bulls, we had one trainer and one weight coach. And now we have reams of data (from) our performance team, which is comprised of 10 people or so.” “They’re advising me when our guys are more vulnerable to injury. I believe in this stuff. I believe in the science, and I believe in having players healthy for the playoffs. And if you can try to get there, and it means resting guys along the way, then I’m all for doing so because that’s what counts come playoff time.” In Kerr’s defense, it’s essential to note that sometimes players aren’t given the opportunity to play. It’s an unfortunate aspect of the league, but one that nobody can really do anything about. For more on the Warriors and NBA, head to Newsweek Sports.
